CHANGE, where does it begin?

"Silence is not necessarily golden"

Nothing in the world is permanent, and we're foolish when we ask anything to last, but surely we're still more foolish not to take delight in it while we have it. If change is of the essence of existence one would have thought it only sensible to make it the premise of our philosophy.
W. Somerset Maugham, The Razor's Edge, 1943English dramatist & novelist (1874 - 1965)
Change:
Change should begin with the people who say change is needed.
When I was in Cambodia Campaigning for a change during the 2008's general election, I realized that some of the so-called agents of change, did not change themselves first; hence only lip services. Many still practiced nepotism, favoritism and autocratic rules, but were seeking others, like the ruling party's members, (who have practiced the same things) to change.
What authority does one have over the others if he or she is as bad as the others? What authority does a little thief have over the big thief?
Change!
