Roots of the Mangrove trees

Roots of the Mangrove trees

So you may have heard that some politicians are coming to your city or town again, right?

Yes, you heard it right; some will be here to seek your never-ending support to fight for democracy, justice, freedom and so on. A few may be here legitimately; others are here for personal reasons and because of your and their pockets. They want "the dough" from yours. So, watch your pockets!

Personally, I have no objection (I can't object anyway) for you to dig deeper in your pockets to help fund decent politicians who run a clean and honest organization, but to keep funding some politicians who corrupt, egotistical and working covertly with members of the CPP, then it may be better for you to help the CPP directly. Don't get me wrong, the CPP is more than happy with your assistance to help fund such politicians because it doesn't have to waste its own money on the same individuals and your assistance will help to legitimize its continued existence.

How do you know which politicians are truthful or not? There are a couple of ways that you may do. First, the most costly ways is to join them and pay your due as requested then closely monitor their works and activities and you will know sooner or later. If you are smarter than them, you will detect their activities; otherwise you will be trapped forever. Have you seen a commercial message for the black Flag Roach Motel? Check this motel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwWt_Q9_tto

Secondly, you may want to carefully study their backgrounds by trying to connect some dots. Make sure you are not blinded by your patriotism, nationalism or by their skillful acting; if you are then you will be led by the nose and at the end you will lose your shirt. It’s like trying to chase the end of a rainbow to get a pot of gold.

One of my closed well informed friends told me that some Cambodian politicians have been groomed to help sustain the ruling party. He compares the CPP and its [secret] affiliates to mangrove’s roots, where the taproot is the CPP and the braceroots are its affiliates. They help support the same "tree." Please see the picture of a mangrove tree above.

There is no need to trust me, my friend, for I am not a professional politician who solely lives on your donation. Just watch out and be cautious with your hard earned money. That’s what they are after.

Beware of drunk politicians, they will lead you to the abyss.
