A deadly wake up call-- Feed and supply Cambodian soldiers

Learning from the past and present experience, Cambodia should not expect Thailand to stand by their promise. Thailand is serious. It wants more territory.

While it is illogical to believe Cambodia (a tiny and weak country) would start a fight with Thailand (one of the most powerful nations in the Asia,) the people of Thailand would rather believe in the lies of their own government and King.

Thai scholars have rewritten Thailand’s history. By now, millions of Thai people consider that many parts of Cambodia belonged to Thailand. Therefore, Cambodia’s outcry will not win sympathy from most people in Thailand.

International community is probably tired of Cambodia. Billions have been pouring to save the people of Cambodia yet Cambodia cannot stand on its feet.

The world has many more problems to handle. Natural devastation in Japan, troubles in Arab world and global economic issues are more pressing than Cambodia-Thai border clashes.

For Cambodia, it is deadly wake-up call. Cambodia needs to do something different to be able to stand on its feet. There is no reason for Cambodian military to depend on small funds raised from the poor to protect Cambodia while the rich and powerful Cambodians luxuriate like a king.

It is time for corrupt officials to pay back to protect Cambodia. They wasted millions each year in corruption.

Much national budgets have become personal's — this needs to change. Money wasted in corruption can help feed our military men and women and supply them sufficient armaments to stand up to aggressors like Vietnam and Thailand.

This vehicle is popular among Cambodia's rich and powerful ( from cambodia.mellenthin.de)

It should be an embarrassment for all Cambodian officials who needed to declare their assets. However, since all of them have finally done that, what are they going to do next?

Perhaps, they need to tell the people how they have become so rich and it is time to pay the many years of their back taxes to help save Cambodia.

It's time for the Cambodian officials to stop moaning, and start acting to put Cambodia "first" before the Thai army marching into Phnom Penh as the Vietnamese did in 1979.

It's a deadly wake up call-- Feed and supply Cambodian soldiers.
